Euro Paper Talk: Liverpool, Arsenal discover keeper asking price

Liverpool and Arsenal have learned the asking price for a highly-rated young keeper, while Juventus have opened talks to sign a major Manchester United midfield target this summer, according to Friday’s European papers.

LIVERPOOL, ARSENAL LEARN ASKING PRICE FOR YOUNG STOPPER

Liverpool and Arsenal have learnt the asking price to land one of European football’s top young goalkeeper’s this summer.

Zoyra stopper Andriy Lunin is the player in question, with the 19-year-old already having made his debut with the senior Ukraine national team and being linked with several of Europe’s top clubs as a result.

Clubs like Inter Milan and Juventus are also said to be keen, with one of the youngster’s agents, Irakly Hvedeliani, telling Football-Ua: “The first real interest for Lunin was at the end of 2017 when scouts of Salzburg came to watch him.

“They offered €600.000 but the offer was rejected by Zorya. After that I was called bu Kaladze’s former collaborator, Lorenzo Bedin. He invited me and the other representatives of the player to talk in Turin but the meeting has never taken place. Lunin didn’t want to meet Juve chiefs without the agreement of Zorya.

“I know nothing about the interest of Inter. Zorya’s director of football Sergej Rafilov is very experienced. He is not going to sell the player for just €1 or 2million. They’ll make the player leave for like €5/6 million, not less.”

JUVE JUMP AHEAD OF MAN UTD IN RACE FOR LAZIO STAR
Juventus have reportedly opened talks with Lazio to sign major Manchester United Sergej Milinkovic-Savic this summer.

The 23-year-old has emerged as one of Serie A’s top midfielders over the last two seasons and has scored 10 times and provided three assists in 31 league appearances this season.

The Serbian has emerged as one of Jose Mourinho’s top targets since January, as the United chief searches for midfield reinforcements this summer.

However, Calciomercato has revealed that Juve are now the favourites to land the player and that talks have begun over a switch to Turin.

The report goes on to state that contact with Milinkovic-Savic’s agent Mateja Kezman have been constant over the last few weeks and that despite talk of Lazio wanting €150million for the midfielder, a fee in the region of €80m seems more likely.
