Arsenal’s transfer activity is hotting up with another deal agreed, Man Utd are in talks with Gareth Bale’s agent and Liverpool could get their hands on a Barceloan man, all in the Euro papers.

ARSENAL AGREE €25m DEAL

Arsenal have agreed to trigger the €25million release clause for Sampdoria midfielder Lucas Torreira, according to a report.

Last month Italian outlet Tutto Mercato Web claimed that Arsenal wanted to get an agreement in place in the coming weeks for the Uruguayan.

However, the report suggested that the Gunners were facing competition from Serie A side Napoli for the 22-year-old’s services.

Now though SampNews24 claims Arsenal have now agreed on triggering the release clause of the player, while also admitting that a wrangle of the agent’s is likely to drag on.

Torreira, a defensive midfielder, is in Uruguay’s World Cup squad and scored five goals for Sampdoria last season.
